	Blau beherrscht die Bilder von Fred Rückert. Das Blau der Sehnsucht nach der Weite, das Blau, das die Weite selbst ist. Das einzigartige einmalige Blau, das er auf einer frühen Reise auf die griechischen Inseln Chios, Samos, Kalimnos, Kos und Patmos gefunden hat. Er entdeckt die Tiefe und die Dimension dieser Farbe. Seine ständige Suche danach, nach dieser Erfahrung und Inspiraton, führt ihn auf seine Reisen nach Südostasien, nach Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesien, Burma. Es ist die Farbe, die dabei ständig präsent ist, eine Farbe, bei der man nie ankommt. Geboren am 25. Dezember 1945 studierte Fred Rückert von 1970 bis 1976 an der Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach am Main im Fach Visuelle Kommunikation. Seitdem arbeitet er frei als Graphic Designer, Illustrator und Maler. Er malt die elementaren Dinge, die unbeachteten Dinge am Wegrand und versucht, die Sicht auf Dinge zu lenken, die wir gemeinhin nicht mehr wahrnehmen in unserer medial überfüllten Welt. Und lenkt dabei unser Denken auf das Einfache im Leben, auf die wichtigen, elementaren Dinge. 1992 besucht er wieder Griechenland und entdeckt Hydra. Die Insel bezaubert ihn und sie scheint mit ihm zu sprechen. Seitdem hat er die Insel zwölfmal besucht, sie ließ ihn nicht mehr los und jedesmal entdeckte er sie neu. In ihrem scheinbar zeitlosen Dasein fand er Inspiration in den einfachen essentiellen Dingen.		Blue dominates the themes of Fred Rueckert. The blue of yearning for distant horizons, the blue of distant itself. A unique blue discovered in an early journey through the Greek islands, Chios, Samos, Kalimnos, Patmos and Kos. A blue later to find new depths and dimensions, as his continual search for experience and inspiration extended to journeys through South East Asia. It is the colour that is always distantly present, yet at which no one really arrives. Born on December 25th, 1945, Fred studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Offenbach, Germany, from 1970 to 1976, before embarking on a career as a graphic designer, illustrator and painter. Currently he specializes in water colours and pencil drawings. He paints the elemental things of nature, evoking the reactions and sensibilities they awaken, using their natural colours and forms. In this way he seeks to bring the immediacy of these sensations, the very essence of what he has found and seen, into his work. In 1992 he revisited Greece and discovered Hydra. It enchanted and seemed to communicate with him. Since then he has revisited the island twelve times, each time rediscovering it anew. In its timeless environs he found unexpected inspiration in even the most commonplace things, which, quite naturally, has been essential to creating these pictures.
